JAY-Z and his lawyer firmly respond to rape accusations after the accuser admits to inconsistencies in her testimony.
The rapper JAY-Z and his lawyer, Alex Spiro, have issued statements addressing the inconsistencies admitted by his accuser in the rape case against him. Both have pointed to the accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, accusing him of filing a false complaint.
“This investigative report shows that ‘lawyer’ Buzbee filed a false complaint in pursuit of money and fame,” JAY-Z stated. “This incident never happened, yet he took it to court and spread it in the press. True justice is coming.”
Spiro, for his part, harshly criticised Buzbee: “It’s shocking that a lawyer would make such a serious accusation without properly verifying it, and then make matters worse by spreading this false story. We have asked the court to dismiss this frivolous case.”
The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, admitted to making errors in her testimony but maintained that she stands by her account. Key inconsistencies include a supposed meeting with Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, who was on tour outside New York at the time.
This case reflects an intense legal and media battle. JAY-Z’s defence is confident that the truth will prevail, while Jane Doe insists she will continue fighting for her version of events.
