Famous BLACKPINK member Jennie made her acting debut in the first episode of HBO’s “The Idol.”

Portraying Dyanne, a backup dancer and friend of the artist Jocelyn (played by Lily-Rose Depp), Jennie appears in multiple dance scenes and has a conversation with Euphoria star Alexa Demie in the first episode.

“I didn’t have much time to learn the choreography for the dance scenes. But luckily, I do this all the time, so it came naturally to me,” Jennie said about the filming.

In a recent interview with Apple Music, the co-creator of the series explained, “It’s important that we have someone like Jennie who understands this world. Many of these musicians, like me, are not actors, and we all understand the world. We’re all taking up a spot. And I think Jennie does incredibly well on the show. I’m very proud of her.”

According to Jennie, being on set was “definitely a challenge.” “Rose-Depp really helped me a lot,” Jennie continued. “And it was very comforting to have her there. She just taught me to express myself and feel comfortable in my own skin, to not be afraid.”
