Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome star in ‘Unstoppable,’ an inspiring drama based on the incredible true story of wrestler Anthony Robles.
In the first images of the upcoming feature film ‘Unstoppable,’ Jennifer Lopez delivers a moving performance in a poignant scene where she cries and kisses Jharrel Jerome, her co-star, on the forehead. The movie, based on the real-life story of Anthony Robles, promises to be an inspirational tale of overcoming adversity and perseverance.
Anthony Robles, born without a right leg, defied all odds to become an NCAA Division 1 wrestling champion, achieving a national victory against the powerful University of Iowa, which had previously rejected him. This incredible achievement is the central focus of the film, which also features performances by Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.
Robles not only inspires the story but also participates in the film as his own stunt double, executing the complex wrestling moves and stunts. Jharrel Jerome, who portrays Robles, underwent intense physical training under the champion’s supervision.
‘Unstoppable’ marks the directorial debut of Oscar-winning editor William Goldenberg and is produced by Ben Affleck. The film will be released in select theaters in the United States and the United Kingdom in December.
