Miu Miu’s iconic Wander Bag takes centre stage in ‘Autobiografia di una Borsetta‘, the innovative short film directed by Joanna Hogg.
The British director presents a unique piece within the ‘Miu Miu Women’s Tales‘ series, narrated from the perspective of the Wander Bag itself. Through its story, the film explores the emotional value of objects and the fleeting nature of fashion.
The short film follows the bag’s journey from its creation to its eventual abandonment, passing through various hands, including a lovestruck teenager and a street vendor. The camera, often positioned inside the bag, allows viewers to see the world through its oval opening, creating an intimate connection with the object.
This film marks a shift in Joanna Hogg’s cinematography, as she also takes on the role of director of photography and collaborates with an Italian cast. Her approach offers an innovative exploration of both cinema and fashion.
‘Autobiografia di una Borsetta‘ not only celebrates creativity and female empowerment but also invites reflection on the lifespan of products and the value we attach to them.
