Katy Perry teases her sixth studio album, ‘143‘, with collaborations from 21 Savage and Doechii, promising energy and summer beats.

Katy Perry recently went live on Instagram to give fans a preview of her upcoming sixth studio album, 143. Having recently announced that it will be released later this fall, the pop singer described it as a dance album she “always wanted to make.”

She told fans on Instagram Live, “I’ve been talking about [making] two albums for the past eight years, and those are a dance album and an acoustic album. I haven’t done the acoustic album yet. Well, we never stop writing. But I finally made the dance album, the album I always wanted to make.” Perry continued, “This record has a lot of energy, it’s very summery, it has a high tempo.” “We just had a family dance party with one of the songs, and it’s filled with so much joy, so much love, so much light.”

Streaming on both IG Live and TikTok Live while signing vinyl inserts for the new album, she previewed three songs that will be on 143. In one of the clips, she introduced a collaboration with Doechii on a song called ‘I’m His He’s Mine,’ which samples Crystal Waters’ 1991 hit ‘Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless).’ Another track includes a collaboration with 21 Savage on ‘Gimme Gimme,’ while another upbeat song that was heard was ‘Nirvana.’ She reaffirms the album’s theme by saying, 143 is honestly a dance party. All the fandoms, invited. And it has a lot of energy, a lot of love, above all a lot of love and BPM, summer, sexy. And it’s for you.” Her first single of this era is scheduled to be released on July 4th at 4 p.m. PST, titled ‘Woman’s World.’ It will be released along with a music video.
