KAWS transforms the ‘Squid Game’ doll into collectible figures

KAWS reinterprets ‘Young-Hee’ from ‘Squid Game’ in a collaboration with Netflix and AllRightsReserved to celebrate season 2 with exclusive collectibles.

The renowned artist KAWS has partnered with Netflix and AllRightsReserved to create an exclusive collectible in honour of the release of ‘Squid Game’ season 2. This special collaboration celebrates the global impact of the South Korean series, which has captivated over 330 million viewers since its debut.

The project features reinterpretations of ‘YOUNG-HEE’, the iconic doll from the series, fused with KAWS’ signature style and his famous ‘COMPANION’ character. The figures depict Young-Hee in her orange dress, with crossed ‘X’ eyes and dynamic arm and hand poses, incorporating elements of the artist’s distinctive design. Additionally, a 15-inch monochrome version will be available for collectors.

The launch is scheduled for December 20th at 10:30 a.m. HKT through an online sale under a “first come, first served” basis. Simultaneously, the figures will be available at an exclusive pop-up in the SHINSEGAE department store in Gangnam, Seoul, from the same time.
