Kelly Clarkson delays her Las Vegas residency launch due to vocal strain caused by intense rehearsals at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum.
Just hours before stepping on stage at the iconic Caesars Palace, Kelly Clarkson has announced the postponement of her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, Studio Sessions. The powerhouse vocalist revealed on Instagram that the intense rehearsals had affected her voice and that she needed time to rest in order to avoid long-term damage.
“We’ve been working around the clock to make ‘Studio Sessions’ the most intimate and extraordinary experience for my fans,” Clarkson shared. “I’m devastated to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s shows, but I have to protect my voice so we can deliver the show you all deserve.”
Originally set to kick off on 4 July, the residency includes 18 performances scheduled through to 15 November. Clarkson has confirmed she’ll take the weekend and the following week to recover before returning to the stage.
She added that the show is “truly incredible,” praising her musicians and backing vocalists and emphasising her desire to start strong. “I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show you all what we’ve been working on.”
Announced back in February, this residency marks a new chapter in Clarkson’s career and has been eagerly awaited by fans and industry insiders alike.
