In a recent interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, Kirsten Dunst left everyone stunned by revealing the truth behind the iconic kiss in “Spider-Man” (2002). During the conversation, Dunst shared that filming the famous scene was anything but thrilling, describing the weather conditions as “rainy and freezing,” making it difficult for her co-star Tobey Maguire to breathe.
Additionally, Tobey Maguire had previously shared his experiences during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, describing the filming of the kiss as “torture” and mentioning the difficulties in breathing while they were under the rain.
Although director Sam Raimi aimed to make the kiss something special, Dunst also mentioned that the conditions made filming challenging.
Even Rachel Bilson, who recreated the kiss with her co-star Adam Brody on The OC, admitted on the podcast “Welcome To The OC, Bitches!” that the filming experience was more uncomfortable than romantic.
