Kylie Jenner is addressing all the accusations about plastic surgery.
During the new episode of The Kardashians that was released on Thursday (20th July), the 25-year-old reality star and makeup mogul chatted with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian about the pressures of beauty standards in today’s society.
She also revealed the procedures she has had done on her face.
“I always remember being the most confident girl in the room,” Kylie shared. “I’ve always loved myself, I still love myself, and one of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I was an insecure girl and that I got a lot of surgery to change my entire face, which is false. I’ve only had fillers.”
“I feel like I don’t want that to be a part of my story,” Kylie added.
Kylie then mentioned how much “influence” and “power” she and her sisters have and how it has affected beauty standards for others on social media.
“I think I see so many young girls on the internet completely editing themselves,” Kylie said. “I also went through that stage, and I feel like I’m in a better place now, but other people can instill insecurities in you.”
Kylie also brought up to her sisters that one of her insecurities came from them.
“Don’t you realize how you always used to talk about my ears?” Kylie asked, to which Khloe responded that she only ever commented on Kylie’s ears because she loves them.
“But I didn’t receive it that way,” Kylie explained. “I received it as if everyone was making fun of my ears, calling them silly. That really messed me up.”
She then said that she “never thought about my ears” until her family started making jokes. After that, Kylie said that for five years, she “never wore her hair up” on a red carpet or at an event.
“Then I had Stormi, and she has my ears, and it made me realize how much I love them,” Kylie added. “If I’m insecure about my ears, and I think my daughter is the most beautiful thing ever… now I wear my hair up at every red carpet.”
Later on, Kylie revealed that she is often asked how she stays “so strong” when people constantly talk and create rumors about her, and she added that “the more it happens,” the stronger she becomes, but it can also be a dark place at times.
“You also have to realize that, no matter what drama I’m going through on social media, I have a wonderful personal life: I have kids, I have amazing friends and family who know who I am,” Kylie explained. “So, I have all these people who are so close to me and who understand exactly what I’m going through. I think that’s the most important thing.”
She added, “If all of this were to disappear tomorrow, I know I have real love to lean on. That’s all that matters to me, so it becomes easier.”
