The hit series, which aired from 2009 to 2017 on The CW, continues to capture the imagination of viewers more than a decade on. But it wasn’t just fans who took notice. Ian Somerhalder, who portrayed the ever-enigmatic Damon Salvatore, chimed in with a playful and heartfelt comment after Jenner revealed she’s firmly on Team Stefan — the character played by Paul Wesley.
