Model and actress Laetitia Casta is the new face of Balmain’s spring campaign, captured by renowned German photographer Juergen Teller. In a shift towards a more authentic aesthetic with a strong French accent, the shoot took place at the Parisian home of Olivier Rousteing, the brand’s creative director.

The spontaneous, unvarnished images reflect Rousteing’s vision, aiming to convey authenticity and reality. The model is seen reclining on a zebra skin, straddling a black marble panther, and wearing a red suit with structured shoulders, perfectly matching her lipstick.

Rousteing, who has admired Casta since taking the helm of Balmain in 2011, considers her an icon. “She embodies the elegance, sophistication, and sensual femininity of Paris,” he explained. The connection between them was crucial to the campaign. “Fashion is stronger when there’s a real bond between the creative director and their muse,” he added.

The campaign also features Balmain’s new ‘Anthem’ bag, a soft leather satchel cinched with a belt, enhancing its confident, feminine glamour.
