Land Rover upgrades the 2026 Defender line-up with smarter tech, refined styling and fresh features across all models – including the OCTA.

Land Rover has officially unveiled its 2026 Defender line-up, introducing a series of tech-forward upgrades and refined design touches across the 90, 110, 130 and OCTA models. The result? A sleeker, more capable off-roader, engineered to thrive both on- and off-road – with just the right amount of visual drama.

Among the most noticeable design updates are the newly styled headlights, fog lights and flush rear lights now treated with smoked lenses, giving all models a bolder edge. JLR has also reworked the front and rear bumpers, bonnet inserts and side vents, adding a textured pattern for what the brand calls a “strong and adventurous look.” Finishing the exterior tweaks, all 2026 Defenders come standard with Gloss Black grille-bars and wheel caps for extra attitude.

The colour range has expanded, too, with two standout additions: Woolstone Green and Borasco Grey. Both hues have been designed to elevate the vehicle’s rugged aesthetic and are available as full-body finishes or as accent detailing.

Inside, comfort meets functionality. A new 13.1-inch touchscreen now dominates the dashboard, paired with a repositioned, more ergonomic gear shifter. The redesigned centre console is engineered for better spatial efficiency, and the infotainment system promises faster, more intuitive control.

On the performance side, Land Rover introduces Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control – a first for the Defender range. This optional feature lets drivers maintain a chosen comfort level over rough terrain by automatically adjusting speed, so they can focus on steering. The brand also debuts a Driver Attention Monitor, using a camera to track the driver’s gaze and issue alerts when focus wanes (though it can be adjusted or disabled as needed).

Specific upgrades include a built-in air compressor option for the Defender 130 – perfect for adjusting tyre pressure on the move – and the Defender OCTA now offers a striking Textured Graphite finish, plus optional Chopped Carbon Fibre details inside and out for a more bespoke look.

The 2026 Defender range is now more advanced, versatile and expressive than ever – ready for city streets or wild terrain alike.
