LOEWE celebrates the Year of the Snake with a collection inspired by Chinese cloisonné art and imperial craftsmanship.
LOEWE welcomes the Lunar New Year with its exclusive collection, Spring Awakening: Dance of the Snake, inspired by the art of Chinese cloisonné. This ancient imperial technique, which combines delicate metallic patterns and vivid enamels, comes to life thanks to master artisan Xiong Songtao, heir to a tradition dating back to the royal workshops of the Qing Dynasty.

The Nest bag, the centerpiece of the collection, features intricate serpentine designs intertwined with lotus motifs, while a series of pendants incorporates auspicious symbols in bright enamel. The ready-to-wear line reinterprets traditional silhouettes with cloud patterns and details in materials such as silk and soft leather.

LOEWE’s iconic bags, such as the Puzzle and the Pebble Bucket, are given a fresh update with three-dimensional elements and handcrafted finishes. New designs, including a cloud-shaped clutch and a serpent minaudière in aluminium, complete this sophisticated offering.

For the launch, LOEWE presents a short film starring dancer Xie Xin, where contemporary dance merges with traditional arts such as shadow theatre and kite making. The collection will be available globally from 9th January, in limited quantities.
