Taeyong is ready to take on his new role for Loewe.
K-Pop artists are currently at the forefront, and brands are rushing to sign them due to their significant influence in the Asian consumer market and beyond.
The latest news in this realm comes from Loewe, the Spanish brand under LVMH. The brand, creatively led for the past 10 years by the eccentric British designer Jonathan Anderson, has appointed Taeyong as its new Global Brand Ambassador.
Known for his “unique personal style and love for fashion,” we’re told that he has been “a devoted follower of Loewe’s innovative design and craftsmanship for a long time, often combining the brand’s key runway pieces with casual garments to achieve a contemporary fashion-forward look.”
In line with his new role, he will attend the brand’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2024 men’s fashion show in Paris.
Anderson paid tribute to the new addition, saying, “I am delighted to welcome Taeyong to the Loewe family. He has a special connection with the brand, having admired and worn Loewe for a long time, and we love his idiosyncratic style. With Taeyong’s many talents in songwriting, performance, and visual creation, I am truly excited to see what this collaboration will bring.”

This renowned artist made his mark in 2016 as a member of the K-Pop group NCT, and since then, he has gained fame as a versatile artist. As part of NCT, NCT 127, and NCT U, he has made a significant impact on multiple global charts and is recognized worldwide.
It is a timely moment for both him and the brand as he released his first solo album, “Shalala,” on June 5th. The album has reached the top spot in several key markets.
