The Spanish luxury house has announced Kara Wai and Chen Duling as its latest ambassadors, blending heritage with international reach.

Loewe revealed on Monday the addition of two new ambassadors to its creative universe: Kara Wai, an established icon of Hong Kong cinema, and Chen Duling, an emerging star with billions of views across social platforms. Both actresses will attend the brand’s Spring 2026 show, set to take place this Friday in Paris.

With more than four decades in the industry, Kara Wai is one of the most celebrated figures in Chinese cinema. From her historic Best Actress win at the inaugural Hong Kong Film Awards for My Young Auntie (1982) to her acclaimed role in Love Never Ends, her career has been defined by excellence and resilience. “Loewe’s passion for art and culture has always inspired me,” said Wai, who is soon to premiere Keep the Beat, where she portrays a dance teacher navigating emotional restraint.

Chen Duling, meanwhile, embodies a new generation of actresses who merge online popularity with critical recognition. Since her debut in The Left Ear (2015), she has starred in titles such as Till the End of the Moon and Fangs of Fortune, amassing over 6.4 billion impressions on Xiaohongshu. “Loewe explores innovation without losing the essence of craft. I am thrilled to bring new surprises to life alongside the brand,” noted Chen, who will soon appear in the historical drama Qiao Chu.

This announcement follows the appointment of actor Jiang Qiming as an ambassador in August, strengthening Loewe’s commitment to Asian talent. The house also counts Wang Yibo, Giselle, Minsi Ko and Tawan Vihokratana (Tay) among its representatives.

Through this move, Loewe—under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson—reaffirms not only its foundation in craftsmanship, but also its global vision and dialogue with different generations of creators.
