In an interview with The Independent, Louis Tomlinson admits he will “forever despise” Logan Paul and reveals why.

In a recent interview with The Independent, Louis Tomlinson delivered one of the most candid statements of his career. The former One Direction member admitted he would “forever despise” Logan Paul, referring to the content creator’s lack of empathy and the controversial interview he conducted with Liam Payne in 2022.

During that episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Payne spoke openly about his former bandmates, calling Zayn Malik a “dickhead” and acknowledging that he initially didn’t get along with Louis either. The comments caused major controversy at the time, and Payne later apologised after going through rehab, admitting he had been struggling personally.

Following Liam’s passing a year ago, Tomlinson didn’t hesitate to call out Paul for contributing to that media storm: “I fucking forever despise him. He’s a horrible, horrible little fucker,” he said bluntly. He also reflected on the ethics of modern communication formats: “That’s also the problem with some of these new ‘media’ outlets. I like to think some journalists still have a duty of care.”

With his words, Louis Tomlinson not only defended his late friend’s memory but also reignited the debate around the boundaries between entertainment and responsibility in the digital age.
