Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun star in ‘Love Me’, a poignant love story between robots in a post-apocalyptic world.
The first trailer for ‘Love Me‘, the groundbreaking film directed by Sam and Andy Zuchero, is now available. This production, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, marks the first collaboration between Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun in a narrative that blends science fiction, romance, and existential philosophy.
In a post-apocalyptic world where humans have vanished, Stewart plays a buoy, and Yeun portrays a satellite. These two robots, isolated for years, finally meet when the satellite, after orbiting a planet that stores all of humanity’s knowledge, establishes contact with the buoy. Through the internet, both characters explore what it means to be alive and experience love, in a journey that reflects the identity dilemmas of the AI age.
Love Me stands out for its unique visual approach, combining live-action, animatronics, and classic animation. Beyond its futuristic appearance, the film offers a reflection on human connections, emotional legacy, and the search for purpose in a digitalized world.
The film will hit theatres on January 31, 2025. Kristen Stewart will also star in ‘Flesh of the Gods’ alongside Oscar Isaac, while Yeun will appear in Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Mickey 17.’
