Madonna and Elton John surprise the world by reconciling after decades of tension and announce a potential musical collaboration.
After more than two decades of strained relations, Madonna and Elton John have finally made peace. The reconciliation took place this weekend following Elton’s performance on Saturday Night Live, which Madonna attended as a special guest. The Queen of Pop shared on social media that they had “buried the hatchet” and even discussed the possibility of working on a song together.

The feud between the two artists began in the early 2000s, when Elton publicly criticised Madonna’s theme for Die Another Day, calling it “the worst Bond song ever”. Over the years, the exchange of jibes and criticism continued, including remarks from Elton’s husband, David Furnish, following Madonna’s win at the 2012 Golden Globes.
However, it seems all that is now in the past. Madonna revealed that upon reuniting, Elton apologised and she forgave him immediately. “Forgiveness is a powerful tool,” the singer wrote. She also mentioned that Elton suggested they write a song together, bringing their long-standing clash to a close on a hopeful and united note.
This new chapter promises a historic collaboration between two music icons.
