Marie Leblanc takes over as director of Courrèges Following her success at Victoria Beckham, with the goal of driving growth and consolidating the brand’s creative vision.
Marie Leblanc has been appointed as the general director of Courrèges, following the departure of Adrien da Maia, who led the brand’s revitalization over the past four years. The announcement was made by Artémis, the holding company of the Pinault family that controls Kering and took full control of the iconic fashion house in 2018. Leblanc will assume her new role on November 4, alongside Nicola di Felice, the current artistic director.
Leblanc joins Courrèges after recently stepping down as CEO of the Victoria Beckham brand. Her fashion expertise, along with her ability to work in harmony with creative teams, was highlighted by François-Henri Pinault, president of Kering and Artémis. Pinault emphasized her talent for ensuring coherence between the brand’s identity and its operational strategy, a key factor in Courrèges’ continued growth in recent years.

Leblanc’s impressive career includes steering the profitability of Victoria Beckham’s business model. She also served as a purchasing manager for ‘Printemps’ and worked with brands such as Sonia Rykiel, Celine, and Isabel Marant. Her education includes studies at ESCP and Studio Berçot, making her a highly experienced professional in the fashion industry.
Expressing her excitement at joining Courrèges, Leblanc praised the brand’s modernity and boldness, which has regained relevance in recent years thanks to Da Maia’s efforts and his creative team. Now, Leblanc aims to further unlock the brand’s potential and solidify its position in the global market.
With three boutiques in Paris and a presence in New York and South Korea, Courrèges is poised for further expansion under Leblanc’s leadership.
