Marine Serre reinvents the Renaissance in her new FW24 ‘Ground Control’ campaign, merging historical aesthetics with a futuristic vision.
Known for her innovative approach to fashion, Marine Serre presents her Fall/Winter 2024 campaign, inspired by Renaissance aesthetics and the pictorial style of the Flemish Primitives. The ‘Ground Control’ campaign follows the debut of the collection at Paris Fashion Week, immersing the audience in a twilight space where the boundaries between reality and fiction blur.

The campaign’s narrative introduces new ‘tribes’ wrapped in the designer’s iconic crescent moon print, accompanied by silk handkerchief flags representing utopian nations. The scenes capture mystical ceremonies, communal meals, and improvised shelters in abandoned vehicles, unveiling a renewed vision of the Marine Serre community.

Standout pieces in the collection include airbrushed leather garments, items featuring the all-over moon logo print, and recycled T-shirts, highlighting the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The campaign also introduces trompe-l’oeil python patterns and new floral prints in jewelry.

With this new proposal, Marine Serre continues to redefine contemporary fashion codes, blending past and future into a unique aesthetic that challenges traditional conventions.
