The new Mercedes-AMG prototype offers a glimpse into the future of electric supercars: extreme power, motorsport technology, and a design that turns heads.

Mercedes-AMG has just unveiled the ‘CONCEPT GT XX’, a luxury electric vehicle that pushes the known boundaries of design, speed, and efficiency. This stunning four-door grand tourer not only previews the first production model based on the AMG.EA platform, but also embodies the brand’s spirit: power, precision, and forward-thinking vision.

Driven by three axial-flux electric motors, the GT XX delivers a staggering 1,360 PS and can exceed 360 km/h. Most impressive of all? Its direct cell-cooled battery system allows for up to 400 km of range to be recovered in just five minutes of charging.

Cutting-edge engineering with sci-fi aesthetics

The sleek, aerodynamic silhouette is finished in a striking ‘sunset beam orange’ with luminescent segments. With no wing mirrors, no visible door handles, and a dynamic rear light signature, the GT XX embraces a futuristic yet functional design.

Inside, everything unnecessary has been stripped away: biotech leather made from recycled racing tyres, an exposed structural frame, driver-oriented displays, and 3D-printed ergonomic seats. There is no rear window – every detail is optimised for performance. Even the AMG badge on the centre console is proudly on display as a statement of power.

State-of-the-art technology, without compromise

Every component of the GT XX has been developed to maximise speed, range, and thermal efficiency. Among its standout technical features are:

  • Exclusive electric architecture with NCMA cylindrical cells
  • High-voltage oil-based cooling system
  • Active aerodynamic wheels that open for cooling and close to reduce drag
  • Direct Formula 1 heritage, thanks to collaboration with the Brixworth engineering team

For now, Mercedes-Benz has not confirmed whether this prototype will enter production, but all signs suggest the GT XX is far more than just a design exercise: it marks the starting point of a new era in high-performance, luxury electric vehicles.
