Michael Lohan, father of Lindsay Lohan, was arrested in Texas for alleged domestic violence against his estranged wife, Kate Major.

Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, was arrested in Texas on domestic violence charges after allegedly assaulting his estranged wife, Kate Major. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the incident took place days earlier at Lohan’s residence, where he allegedly tipped Major over from a chair.

The arrest took place on Friday, February 21, after Kate, 42, alerted the police upon seeing Michael in the parking lot of a medical center. Fearing he was following her, she called 911. When officers arrived, she informed them about the previous assault and showed bruises on her body.

Authorities located Lohan at his home later that same day and arrested him without incident. He now faces a charge of continuous family violence and remains in custody with bail set at $30,000.

Michael Lohan and Kate Major married in 2014 but have been separated since 2018, when she filed for divorce and sought sole custody of their two children, Landon and Logan. Lohan’s legal situation remains ongoing as the case continues to be investigated.
