Italian fashion house Moschino will celebrate its 40th anniversary during Milan Fashion Week on September 21st with a runway show paying tribute to its founder, Franco Moschino.
The show will feature prominent stylists such as Katie Grand and Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, who will each present 10 contemporary looks inspired by Moschino’s iconic designs, according to a report by WWD.
Although they have not yet announced who will succeed former creative director Jeremy Scott, who left the house in March, the president of Moschino’s parent company (Aeffe), Massimo Ferretti, is actively interviewing candidates for the position.
The late Franco Moschino, known for his whimsical and innovative designs that satirized high fashion, founded Moschino Couture! in 1983. Aeffe acquired a 70 percent stake in the brand following Moschino’s death in 1994, driving its global expansion.
