Burberry unveils ‘Twas The Knight Before…’, its elegant 2025 festive campaign directed by John Madden and featuring Naomi Campbell and Jennifer Saunders.

Burberry celebrates Christmas with ‘Twas The Knight Before…’, an ode to British festive spirit under the creative direction of Daniel Lee. With a warm, cinematic aesthetic, the British house presents a story filled with humour, sophistication and nostalgia, set inside a quintessential London home. “It’s an invitation to a family and friends’ gathering, with some fantastic gift ideas,” summarises Lee.

Directed by John Madden, known for classics such as ‘Shakespeare in Love’, ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’ and ‘Operation Mincemeat’, the campaign brings together a star-studded cast led by Jennifer Saunders, who opens her home to some very special guests: Naomi Campbell, Ncuti Gatwa, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Son Heung-min. Amid laughter, carols and champagne, the protagonists embody Burberry’s festive spirit with a touch of contemporary elegance.

The story unfolds through the preparations for a Christmas celebration where Saunders entertains her guests with charm and quintessential British wit, culminating in an impromptu rendition of ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ on her doorstep. Each guest wears signature seasonal pieces reimagined with the artisanal mastery that defines the London house.

Jennifer Saunders wears the Heath quilted cape with corduroy collar, detachable shearling trims and a shield-shaped clasp; Naomi Campbell the Treros trench with tie-neck detailing and aged-effect metalwork; Rosie Huntington-Whiteley the short Fitzrovia trench, crafted in Castleford with a flared skirt and signature buttons; while Ncuti Gatwa stuns in a swamp-green trench with leather-covered B buckles and the iconic Burberry Check lining.

With this production, Burberry reaffirms its place as one of Britain’s most emblematic luxury houses, celebrating tradition through a modern, cinematic lens that transforms Christmas into a tribute to style, friendship and the magic of sharing.
