NCT WISH unveils ‘COLOR’, their third mini-album featuring seven vibrant tracks that cement the group as a rising global force in K-pop.
The new generation of K-pop is making its mark. NCT WISH, SM Entertainment’s youngest and final unit, has just released their third mini-album, ‘COLOR’, now available on all platforms. With seven tracks, the project showcases the group’s evolution and determination to establish themselves as a key reference on the global stage.
The lead track, ‘COLOR’, is an electro-pop anthem with lively synths, jazz chord progressions and rhythmic shifts that elevate lyrics brimming with confidence. In it, the six members — SION, RIKU, YUSHI, JAEHEE, RYO and SAKUYA — declare themselves ready to light up the world with their own colours. The track is co-written and produced by KENZIE and Andrew Choi, also known as the voice of Jinu in ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’.
The record offers moments of freshness such as ‘Surf’, with its summery vibe, and the ballad ‘Baby Blue’, steeped in nostalgia. With a generational twist, ‘Cheat Code’ taps into gamer language to talk about love, while ‘Reel-ationship’ sweetly captures the emotions sparked by sharing everyday clips. Rounding out the release are the high-energy rap ‘Videohood’ and ‘WICHU’, a 2000s-inspired R&B cut that samples Chris Brown’s ‘With You’ and features Aston Merrygold of JLS.
After debuting in 2024 and shining at SMTOWN Live London this June, NCT WISH returns with ‘COLOR’ to reaffirm their youthful, versatile and hopeful spirit.
