Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the British thriller ‘The Mystery of the Seven Spheres’, an upcoming adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel, set for a global premiere in January 2026.
The three-part series, titled ‘Seven Dials’, is based on Christie’s original novel and will debut on the platform on 15 January 2026. Set in 1925 with the refined atmosphere of a British country estate, the story follows Mia McKenna-Bruce, BAFTA Rising Star winner, as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent — an unlikely heroine who goes from curious guest to accidental detective after one of the weekend guests turns up dead during what was meant to be a light-hearted gathering.
What begins as a harmless prank among guests soon spirals into murder and conspiracy, leading Bundle to unravel cryptic clues, hidden motives and coded secrets within the privileged social circle she inhabits. The series preserves Christie’s trademark wit and brisk storytelling while amplifying its young heroine’s perspective, offering a fresh, contemporary sensibility within the classic framework of the genre.
The cast features an impressive lineup of British talent including Helena Bonham Carter, Martin Freeman, Corey Mylchreest, Ed Bluemel, and Nabhaan Rizwan, creating a dynamic ensemble defined by internal conflicts and shifting alliances among suspects of the same elite class. The project is written and produced by Chris Chibnall (‘Broadchurch’, ‘Doctor Who’) alongside Suzanne Mackie, and directed by Chris Sweeney.
One of Netflix’s major releases to kick off 2026.
