NewJeans makes waves on Billboard with ‘Supernatural’: debuting in the Top 25 of the Global 200 and maintaining success in Japan and South Korea.

NewJeans‘ debut in Japan with their single ‘Supernatural’ has achieved an impressive rise on Billboard’s key charts in the United States.

As of July 2, local time, the latest Billboard rankings (dated July 6) show ‘Supernatural’ debuted at No. 14 on the ‘Global (excluding US)’ chart and at No. 25 on the ‘Global 200’ chart. Another track from the same single, ‘Right Now’, also entered both charts, marking a strong dual impact.

Furthermore, their double single released in May, featuring the title track ‘How Sweet’ and B-side ‘Bubble Gum’, has maintained a notable performance on the ‘Global (excluding US)’ and ‘Global 200’ charts for five consecutive weeks. This success has placed all four new NewJeans songs on Billboard’s global charts, showcasing their worldwide popularity.

In South Korea and Japan, NewJeans’ songs have seen a resurgence following their fan meeting at Tokyo Dome. ‘Supernatural’ topped Bugs’ real-time chart and ranked eighth on Melon’s ‘Top 100’. Despite the rarity of a Japanese single leading Korean music charts, ‘Supernatural’ debuted at No. 34 on Melon’s ‘Top 100’ on its release day (June 21), steadily climbing since then.

In Japan, ‘Supernatural’ reached No. 15 on Spotify Japan’s ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart on July 1, with a total of 11 NewJeans songs on the chart. On Apple Music Japan’s ‘Top 100’, ‘How Sweet’ and ‘Supernatural’ claimed the 12th and 13th spots respectively, among nine NewJeans tracks.

The single ‘Supernatural’ also made a strong debut on Oricon’s daily singles ranking, securing the top spot for three consecutive days (June 21-23), and reaching No. 1 on Line Music’s real-time and daily charts. NewJeans drew over 91,200 fans to their ‘Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’ fan meeting held from June 26-27 at Tokyo Dome. Their performance, featuring over 20 diverse presentations, received praise from both fans and local media. The group continues their activities in Japan, including a live appearance on Fuji TV’s ‘FNS Music Festival’.
