Bella Hadid fronts California Blue, ALO’s new colourway bringing the Pacific Ocean and effortless Californian style to contemporary activewear.

ALO continues to expand its Pre-Fall 2026 offering with a new launch that puts colour firmly in the spotlight. The American brand introduces California Blue, an intense blue shade presented by Bella Hadid, the current face of the collection, drawing its main inspiration from Los Angeles, the Pacific Ocean and the West Coast lifestyle.

The new colourway builds on the visual universe developed by the brand throughout the season. ALO describes California Blue through imagery connected to the ocean, early-morning surf sessions and evenings spent by the beach. The result is a saturated blue designed to bring some of California’s most recognisable landscapes directly into the activewear wardrobe.

Its arrival follows shortly after Kylie Jenner introduced Pink Marshmallow, another of the season’s standout colours. While that release explored a much softer aesthetic through pink, California Blue opts for a stronger identity that broadens the chromatic possibilities within ALO’s current collection.

The latest images form part of the campaign the company began rolling out in early August. Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographed and directed Bella Hadid across different locations in Los Angeles, creating a narrative where fashion, wellness and everyday life come together.

The creative team also includes Mimi Cuttrell on styling, Jawara on hair and Sam Visser on make-up. The intention is to maintain a relaxed aesthetic that connects the clothes with different moments throughout the day, rather than restricting them exclusively to workouts.

That versatility is precisely one of the main pillars of ALO Pre-Fall 2026. The original campaign showed Hadid moving between athletic activities and much quieter moments, illustrating how exercise, meditation and personal rituals can coexist within the same contemporary approach to wellness.

The model has also spoken about how important it has become for her to make time for herself as she has grown older. From that perspective, wellbeing is not presented simply as the result of following a particular fitness routine, but as something shaped by small everyday choices capable of creating greater balance.

The wardrobe reflects this philosophy through a selection combining activewear and everyday clothing. Pieces featured in the collection include familiar ALO designs such as the Airbrush Better Together Bra, Full Stride Micro Short, Airlift Rebel Bra, High-Waist 7/8 Rebel Legging, Accolade Shorts, Sheer Glow Bra and Softsculpt Precision Tank.

The offering is completed by the ALO Trail Sneaker, reinforcing the brand’s ambition to create a wardrobe capable of moving naturally between the gym, city streets and more relaxed off-duty moments.

Bella Hadid’s presence also carries particular significance within the concept. Her Los Angeles roots create a natural connection with the campaign setting and with a company whose identity remains deeply associated with the Californian lifestyle.

California Blue therefore becomes more than simply another seasonal shade. It reinforces the relationship between ALO, Los Angeles and contemporary wellness, translating the colours and atmosphere of the West Coast into clothing designed for movement as well as everyday life.

With Bella Hadid once again leading the imagery, ALO Pre-Fall 2026 continues to blur the boundaries between performance clothing and lifestyle fashion, while California Blue gives the season a distinctive new visual identity inspired directly by the Pacific coast.
