Orlando Bloom responds to Keira Knightley’s criticisms of Pirates of the Caribbean, highlighting his understanding and gratitude.

Orlando Bloom has reacted to Keira Knightley’s recent comments about the Pirates of the Caribbean saga. The actress, who played Elizabeth Swann in the successful Disney franchise, stated in an interview that she has mixed feelings about the films and would not star in another franchise of that kind.

Bloom, who portrayed Will Turner, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his former co-star’s remarks. While he assured that his experience with the films was positive, he said he understood Keira’s perspective.

“It was a very important moment in our lives, but sometimes it feels like it happened in another era,” commented the 48-year-old actor. “I’m very grateful for everything Pirates of the Caribbean gave me, but I understand what Keira says. She’s doing wonderful things.”

The films, which were released between 2003 and 2017, became a global phenomenon. However, some actors have expressed criticism about their experience on set. Recently, another cast member admitted to having had a “really bad experience” working on the first film.

Despite the mixed opinions, the saga remains one of the most iconic in adventure cinema.
