Rachel Zegler has been invited to the 2025 MET Gala, but her attendance is uncertain due to professional commitments.
Following her role in Snow White, Rachel Zegler received her second invitation to the MET Gala, though all signs suggest she won’t be attending.
In recent months, Zegler has been at the centre of debate on social media after expressing her views on Palestine. While some praised her courage, others blamed her for Snow White’s box office failure, accusing her of politicising her public image.
So, when it was revealed that the Hunger Games actress had once again been invited to the most talked-about fashion event of the year, reactions came swiftly. According to some users, she doesn’t deserve the spotlight of the Metropolitan Museum and should “face the consequences”.
However, her representative has been clear: “Rachel will be in rehearsals for Evita in London during May.” So, while grateful, the actress has other commitments.
Just like Zendaya, who has missed previous editions due to work, Zegler may be absent. Even so, Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, has hinted that we might see her this year: “It’s an honour to have the contributions of my people recognised in fashion.”
