The renowned designer from Porterville presents a collection in which he confronts his own demons through fashion.

Rick Owens made his return to Paris Fashion Week with his Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. Titled ‘Concordians‘, the collection draws inspiration from his formative years in the small Italian town of Concordia—a period defined by introspection and relentless dedication to his craft.

In the early days of his brand, Owens found solace in the solitude of his production factory. Determined to “align himself with the rhythm of an industrial production schedule”, he spent five years sleeping in his office, fully immersing himself in the creative process.

For this collection, the designer revisits his most essential aesthetic. Inspired by his recent collaboration with Rimowa, he introduces leather flight jackets with rounded shoulders and exaggerated collars, lending them a bold, commanding presence. Asymmetrical outerwear, crafted from opulent wool and adorned with silver hardware, complements his vision, while deconstructed gowns reveal glimpses of skin through strategic slashes. Owens also experiments with innovative draping techniques, sculpting gleaming felt into dramatic, floor-length gowns designed to leave a lasting impression.

Collaborations play a pivotal role this season. His partnership with Leo Prothmann results in leather chaps that transform into slouchy Kiss Boots, while Parisian designer Matisse Dimaggio contributes pleated tops and hoodies. Meanwhile, Tanja Vidic brings an apocalyptic edge with her distinctive knitwear, reinforcing the unmistakable aesthetic of Rick Owens‘ universe.
