The artist ignites the summer with a vibrant track and a colourful, freedom-filled video shot on Miami Beach.
Rita Ora released her new single ‘Heat’ on 6 June, a track bursting with summer energy and empowerment that coincides with her much-anticipated performance at the World Pride Music Festival in Washington D.C. Produced by Peter Thomas and co-written with Troye Sivan, Leland and Michael Matosic, the song blends bold rhythms with lyrics that celebrate authenticity and personal freedom.
“Dropping ‘Heat’ on the same day as my World Pride performance feels like the perfect way to kick off summer,” Rita said. “It’s fun, cheeky and full of positive energy. It’s all about being unapologetically yourself.”
The music video, directed by Justin Daashuur Hopkins, was filmed on a Miami beach and depicts a surreal day among eccentric sunbathers, serving as a visual tribute to the city’s free-spirited vibe. Inspired by the work of photographer Martin Parr, it stands out for its technicolour aesthetic and infectious energy.
Rita Ora continues to cement her global status with 13 UK Top 10 singles, four number ones, and over a billion streams across platforms. ‘Heat’ will be part of her setlist at London’s Summertime Ball on 15 June.
