Sabrina Carpenter wins her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance with ‘Espresso,’ beating Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Charli XCX.

Sabrina Carpenter’s big night at the 2025 Grammy Awards cemented her status as one of the leading pop stars of the moment. The singer took home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album with Short n’ Sweet, securing her second golden gramophone of the night after winning Best Pop Solo Performance with Espresso.

She was up against heavyweights like Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Taylor Swift but managed to stand out with her signature fresh sound and a vibrant stage presence.

During her acceptance speech, Carpenter couldn’t contain her excitement:
Hi. I’m still out of breath from the performance, so I really wasn’t expecting this. All those nominees on the screen are some of my favourite artists in the world. This is my first Grammy, so, woo, I’m going to cry. I wrote names down so I wouldn’t forget on this napkin. Thank you to the Recording Academy for having me and for bringing everyone together tonight in celebration and honour of everything that’s happened. I feel so honoured to come together and create something special to celebrate music. I want to thank all my fans… my mum for taking me to every voice lesson.”

Beyond her wins, Sabrina Carpenter dazzled on stage with an energetic performance of her hits Espresso and Please Please Please, showcasing her versatility and magnetism.

With this double triumph, the artist reaffirms her rise in the music industry and leaves her mark on one of the most important ceremonies of the year.
