Warner Bros. has released a brand-new trailer for ‘Practical Magic 2’, reuniting Sandra Bullockand Nicole Kidmanas the beloved Owens sisters nearly three decades after the original film.

Warner Bros. has unveiled a brand-new trailer for ‘Practical Magic 2’, offering fans a deeper look at the long-awaited sequel that reunites the Oscar-winning actresses in one of the most beloved fantasy films of the late 1990s.
The sequel will open internationally from 9 September, before arriving in North American cinemas on 11 September, bringing audiences back to the enchanting world of the Owens family.
Inspired by Alice Hoffman’s novel ‘The Book of Magic’, the film revisits the legendary family of witches as they face a powerful new threat rooted in generations of ancestral magic. The story promises to expand the mythology established in the original film while exploring the enduring bond between the Owens sisters.
According to the official synopsis, the family is confronted with a dark curse capable of destroying their legacy forever. Faced with ancient prophecies, dangerous secrets and powerful supernatural forces, the sisters must once again join together to protect those they love most before it is too late.
Alongside Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, the sequel introduces an impressive ensemble cast featuring Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod. Long-time fans will also welcome the return of Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, who reprise their unforgettable roles as the eccentric Owens aunts.
The film is directed by Susanne Bier, whose previous collaborations with the two leading actresses include ‘The Perfect Couple’ starring Nicole Kidman and ‘Bird Box’ starring Sandra Bullock. The screenplay is once again penned by Akiva Goldsman, who wrote the original ‘Practical Magic’, this time alongside acclaimed writer Georgia Pritchett.
The film also generated one of the standout moments of CinemaCon 2026, where Bullock and Kidman delighted audiences by humorously recreating the now-iconic AMC Theatres advertisement. When Bullock asked, “Why do we come here, Nicole?”, Kidman replied with her instantly recognisable line, “We come to this place for magic,” prompting an enthusiastic standing ovation from attendees.
This latest trailer expands on the footage previously released and confirms that ‘Practical Magic 2’ intends to preserve everything that made the original a cult favourite.
