Shakira and Lewis Hamilton reportedly in ‘early stages’ of their relationship: having fun and flirting

Four days after Shakira was spotted having dinner with Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, a source claimed that they are in the ‘early stages’ of their romance as of June 8th.

According to a source close to the couple, “Waka Waka” singer Shakira, 46, and racing driver Lewis Hamilton, 38, are in the ‘early stages’ of their budding romance, reported PEOPLE on June 8th. “They are spending time together and in the ‘getting to know each other’ stage,” the source said. “It’s fun and flirty.” This new report comes a year after the singer and her ex, Gerard Piqué, 36, ended their 11-year romance.

Shakira and Lewis started generating romance rumors after they were seen enjoying a day at sea in Miami on May 10th. Later, on June 4th, Lewis and the singer were spotted having dinner with friends in Spain, where she lived for many years with her ex. Family friend Kar-Jenner’s pal, Fai Khadra, was also present.

During the evening dinner, Lewis sweetly wrapped his arm around Shakira’s waist and smiled with their friends (see photo here). This isn’t the first man the Grammy winner has been linked to recently, as she was seen with actor Tom Cruise, 60, at the Grand Prix on May 7th. The 46-year-old singer has been enjoying her single life to the fullest and even shared a photo on Instagram on June 4th of her outfit at the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix. “So good to be back in Barcelona!” she wrote in the caption, showing off her white mini skirt and colorful blouse. Interestingly, Lewis raced for Mercedes at that event and came in second place, according to PEOPLE.

As mentioned earlier, Shakira and the former footballer announced their separation in June 2022 after over a decade together. “We’d like to announce that we are separated,” read the statement released by Shakira’s PR agency at that time. “It is with great sadness that we announce the mutual decision to separate at this time. We have been working together for many years, and we will continue to be partners in our businesses and professional lives. We remain partners in parenthood and are committed to our children and their well-being. We request respect and privacy for our family during this time.” The Colombian singer and Gerard have two children, Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8.

Recently, the proud mom shared an adorable video on Instagram of Sasha and her singing together at the piano on May 15th. “This year, Milan has written songs that have made me cry with emotion, and Sasha has spent hours at the piano discovering his voice. They have both been by my side in the studio, and upon hearing this song dedicated to them, they asked me to be a part of it,” her sweet caption read. “They have felt it and interpreted it for themselves, with the passion and feeling that music carries within. Milan and Sasha, it’s so beautiful to see you spread your wings and start to chase your dreams! There is nothing that makes me feel more complete than being your mother.”
