Stella McCartney Kids and SpongeBob SquarePants have teamed up for a vibrant 38-piece children’s collection, blending fashion, fun, and sustainability with unique designs.
The iconic designer Stella McCartney has launched a unique collaboration with the most beloved character from Bikini Bottom: SpongeBob SquarePants. This 38-piece children’s collection captures the fun and colourful essence of the series, with the face of the spongy protagonist embroidered on bags, printed on swimwear, and decorating espadrilles.
“At Stella, we question everything, we think outside the box, and SpongeBob shares our values. He’s different, eccentric, and we celebrate his community,” McCartney commented. In addition to SpongeBob, the collection includes Patrick, Gary, and even the villain Plankton, in psychedelic designs and treated denim with a Californian style.
Beyond design, sustainability is key in this capsule, which aims to raise awareness about the marine crisis. 93% of the materials used are eco-friendly, aligning with the brand’s mission to reduce the environmental impact of fashion.
McCartney, who recently regained full control of her company after repurchasing shares from LVMH, continues to invest in sustainable innovation. This collection demonstrates that children’s fashion can be fun, ethical, and responsible towards the planet.
