Susan Sarandon, Elizabeth Olsen and other celebrities dazzled at the Patou Spring 2026 show, celebrating joy and creativity.

The Patou Spring 2026 show in Paris brought together major stars from film and fashion, with a front row packed with personalities such as Susan Sarandon, Elizabeth Olsen, Diane Kruger and Kelly Rutherford. The presence of these celebrities not only added glamour but also sincere reflections on what joy means in their lives, the central theme of the brand’s creative proposal.

Susan Sarandon, a film icon and Oscar winner, was the star of a fun campaign ahead of the show, directed by Guillaume Henry. In the teaser, the actress receives mysterious gifts in her hotel room from a character called Joy. With humour, she demands at reception: “Give me Joy.” This collaboration set the joyful and theatrical tone of the event.

During the show, Sarandon shared her personal view on joy: “Liberation, freedom, imagination.” She explained that these feelings are what keep her active in her career, despite the uncertainty involved in being an actress. “When you work, you’re part of a collaboration, and that’s what really interests me,” said the Thelma & Louise star. The actress is preparing to make her British theatre debut with Mary Page Marlowe, a play by Tracy Letts, opening this autumn at London’s Old Vic.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen, known for her role in Avengers, highlighted that she finds joy in reading and living in the moment. “My definition of joy would be being able not to overthink the present or what’s coming,” she said. She is currently immersed in the fourth book of Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan series, admitting she came somewhat late to the literary phenomenon.

Diane Kruger, also at the show, expressed her excitement about travelling around Europe with her daughter Nova, despite the logistical complications caused by an air traffic controllers’ strike in France. The actress will be jury president at the upcoming Angoulême Francophone Film Festival and will star in the new series Merteuil, a prequel to Dangerous Liaisons.

Kelly Rutherford spoke about the importance of maintaining a positive outlook. “The first thing that comes to mind is my family, my children and my dog. When I have a bad day, I try to refocus my mind. Changing your thinking can help you return to joy,” explained the actress, known for her timeless elegance.

The Patou show not only showcased trends for the coming season but also conveyed a clear message: joy is an act of awareness, a daily choice that can be found in creative freedom, human connection and the art of living in the present.
