Once again, the French luxury group offers the chance to reward young design talents.
Since 2013, the LVMH Prize has provided emerging designers with the opportunity to make their dreams come true with the support of the prestigious LVMH group. Now, in its 12th edition, it continues to offer this chance to young creatives from all over the world. Previous editions have recognised talents such as Marine Serre, Jacquemus or KidSuper. Also Ellen Hodakova Larsson and Duran Lantink, who were the winners of the most recent edition.
Applications have just opened on the awards official website, and the requirements for participation are that entrants must be between 18 and 40 years old and have designed at least two prêt-à-porter collections. Talents have until January 12, 2025, to submit their applications, and the semi-finals will take place during Paris Fashion Week, on March 5–6.

The competition consists of three awards. The first is the LVMH Prize, with a €400,000 grant, followed by the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, offering €200,000. The winners of these two categories will also benefit from a year of mentoring and guidance from the LVMH teams. The final award is the Prix de Savoir-Faire, with a €200,000 prize, which is a new addition to the competition. It was first awarded last year to Irish designer Michael Stewart and his brand Standing Ground.
Additionally, for the past ten years, the competition has also rewarded three graduates from fashion schools, in collaboration with these educational institutions. These three students, who are set to graduate in 2025, will have the opportunity to join the creative studios of three LVMH brands for a one-year contract. They will also receive a €10,000 grant and a scholarship to help them relocate to Paris. Applications for this part of the competition will remain open until March 30, 2025.
