Tom Ford Beauty is boosting its lipstick sales with the new Runway Lip Color collection and Angelina Jolie as its ambassador.
Tom Ford Beauty is making a significant push to rejuvenate its lipstick line with the introduction of Runway Lip Color. This new collection, which will feature 18 shades—10 existing and 8 new—will launch globally in September, replacing the previous Lip Color franchise. Additionally, the line will include Runway Lip Pencils in eight shades, with prices ranging from $46 to $62.
Angelina Jolie has been named the brand’s first beauty ambassador, highlighting Tom Ford’s strategic focus on lip products. This move comes at a challenging time for the brand’s makeup sector, as recent SEC reports from Estée Lauder, which acquired Tom Ford for $2.3 billion in 2023, reveal a decline in lipstick sales.
Guillaume Jesel, President and CEO of Tom Ford, is optimistic about the brand’s trajectory. “Tom Ford Beauty remains on track to reach $1 billion in annual net sales in the coming years,” he says. Runway Lip Color is expected to generate around $50 million in retail sales during its first year.
The collaboration with Jolie, known for her global appeal and cinematic presence, aims to reconnect the beauty line with its fashion roots. “Lipstick is the ultimate fashion accessory and a central element of our brand identity,” Jesel adds.
