Trace Cyrus has broken his silence with scathing criticism of his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, making it clear that their relationship is beyond repair.
The family drama in the Cyrus clan has escalated. Trace, the eldest son of country star Billy Ray, made explosive statements on social media about their estrangement.
“The man’s hunger for fame is pathetic,” wrote the 36-year-old on his Instagram Story on June 10, alongside a photo of his father. “He flew to Italy for a fashion show but didn’t come to L.A. for Mammie’s funeral… even after his daughter got him the $60,000 private jet he demanded.”
Trace didn’t hold back: “You’re the most pitiful man to ever walk this Earth. I’m ashamed I ever looked up to you.”
He also mocked Billy Ray’s appearance, adding: “Why does he think that homeless-looking haircut is a good idea?”
Later, when a fan accused him of “bullying,” Trace replied: “I’m way past the point of caring if we ever speak again. I’ve surpassed my father in every way as a man.”
He concluded by saying he plans to carry on the Cyrus legacy “in his own way,” and promised to raise his future children “with real values.”
