Travis Kelce describes his experience working with Adam Sandler on Happy Gilmore 2 as “a dream come true.”
The renowned NFL player, Travis Kelce, has added another achievement to his growing list of ventures outside of American football. During an interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce shared his experience working alongside Adam Sandler on the upcoming Netflix film Happy Gilmore 2, which will be released in 2025. Although Kelce’s role has yet to be revealed, a recent teaser suggests he plays a country club employee.
“That was a dream come true,” Kelce commented. “I thought my appearance on Saturday Night Live would be the highlight of my entertainment career, but working with Sandman and Happy Productions was incredible.”
Kelce, who admitted that filming was a challenge, also highlighted the professionalism and relaxed atmosphere of the production team. He compared Sandler to Andy Reid, his coach with the Kansas City Chiefs, describing him as equally cool off-screen as on-screen.
In addition to Kelce and Sandler, Happy Gilmore 2 will feature a star-studded cast, including Ben Stiller, Julie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald. The film will be a continuation of the iconic 1996 comedy that turned Sandler into a genre icon.
While plot details remain under wraps, fans are already eagerly anticipating the return of the classic with a modern twist.
