Troye Sivan introduces ‘She’s the Best’, the first taste of his fourth album, with Nicole Kidman and Sasha Colby joining him in the new music video.
Troye Sivan is officially entering a new musical era. The Australian singer and actor has released She’s the Best, his new single and the track chosen to introduce his highly anticipated fourth studio album, a project of the same name scheduled for release on 9 October.
The release arrives alongside a music video featuring a particularly eye-catching cast. Nicole Kidman takes on a starring role in the visual alongside Sivan, while Sasha Colby, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, completes a line-up that immediately captured the attention of the artist’s fans.
Kidman’s appearance also marks a reunion between two Australian stars who have previously shared the screen. Troye Sivan and Nicole Kidman worked together on Boy Erased, the 2018 film that also starred Lucas Hedges and Russell Crowe. Several years later, they are reunited for an entirely different project, this time directly connected to Sivan’s music.
She’s the Best serves as the first introduction to the new creative universe Sivan is preparing for his forthcoming record. Following the impact of his previous releases and a period defined by major collaborations, performances and international tours, the musician appears ready to explore an even more personal side of his artistry.
The song also boasts an impressive creative team. Troye Sivan co-wrote the track with Leland, one of his longstanding collaborators, alongside George Daniel of The 1975, Jack Antonoff and Styalz Fuego. George Daniel’s involvement is not entirely unexpected within Sivan’s creative circle. The singer has a close relationship with Charli xcx, Daniel’s wife, with whom he co-headlined the hugely successful Sweat Tour in 2024.
