Netflix reveals the first look at the third season of ‘Wednesday’, with Jenna Ortega in Paris alongside Thing beneath the Eiffel Tower.
Netflix has released the first glimpse of the third season of ‘Wednesday’, and the new image transports the series’ universe to Paris. In the still shared across social media, Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, stands beside a motorcycle under the Eiffel Tower, with Thing perched on top. She holds a piece of paper while staring into the distance with the cold, unbothered expression that has become one of the character’s defining traits. The caption reinforces the tone of the reveal: “From Paris, with dread.”
The image works not only as a striking visual, but also as a possible clue to what lies ahead in this new chapter. The second season of ‘Wednesday’ ended with Wednesday and Thing leaving in the sidecar of her Uncle Fester’s motorcycle, played by Fred Armisen, in search of her friend and roommate Enid, portrayed by Emma Myers. After becoming trapped in her werewolf form and fleeing into the wilderness, Enid’s fate was left unresolved, making it plausible that this search is what brings Wednesday to France.
For now, Netflix has not revealed specific plot details for the third season, but this first look makes it clear that the series will continue expanding its world. Wednesday’s arrival in Paris suggests a fresh setting for her investigations, while maintaining the dark, ironic and meticulously crafted aesthetic that has defined the show since its debut.
Production on the third instalment began in February, confirming that the project is already well underway. The upcoming season will also introduce several new cast members. Among them is Eva Green, who joins as Aunt Ophelia. Additional new faces include Winona Ryder, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer, although details about their roles remain under wraps.
Alongside these additions, the series retains much of its core cast. In addition to Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Fred Armisen and Victor Dorobantu as Thing, returning cast members include Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordóñez, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joanna Lumley. Based on the characters created by Charles Addams, ‘Wednesday’ continues under the guidance of showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton returning as director and executive producer alongside them. The series remains produced by MGM Television.
