Doja Cat has broken her silence following a viral video with a fan, claiming she was touched without her consent.
The rapper sparked a stir on social media after calling out a fan who, according to her, touched her inappropriately during a recent event. The moment was captured in a TikTok video, where the fan — identified as Pablo Tamayo — takes off his shirt and hands it to the artist while she smiles.
However, days later, Doja Cat responded on X (formerly Twitter), clarifying what had happened:
“I can smile at you, but that doesn’t mean I like you. Don’t touch or grope me when you don’t even know me. He didn’t even know my name when he kissed me on the face like that. It’s insane.”
She added: “I threw that musty shirt away, by the way.”
The rapper also said she was “very drunk” at the time and felt uncomfortable with the level of physical contact:
“I didn’t like how comfortable he felt touching me without asking.”
In response, Pablo said: “I never meant to make her uncomfortable. I’m gay, I adore her, and I was just trying to be nice.”
He later capitalised on the controversy by releasing a T-shirt with the phrase “MUSTY ASS SHIRT” printed on it.
The incident has sparked debate online about boundaries, consent, and how “friendly” gestures are perceived.
