Cara, Anitta and Taylor Hill joined the Balmain SS26 runway celebration, where fashion embraced freedom and a coastal minimalism.
Inside the iconic ballroom of the InterContinental Paris-Le Grand, Balmain marked its 80th anniversary with a proposal more relaxed, sensory and liberated than in previous seasons. Far from the drama that has often defined Olivier Rousteing’s past collections, the Spring/Summer 2026 offering took inspiration from the beach and the pursuit of joy. Among the standout guests, figures such as Cara Delevingne, Anitta, Taylor Hill and Isabeli Fontana stole the spotlight with looks that resonated with the spirit of the show.
Anitta opted for a black leather-effect dress with a plunging neckline, cinched waist and long gloves, channelling sculptural sensuality. Cara Delevingne chose a masculine ensemble of Prince of Wales check blazer and shorts, styled with a crisp white shirt, reimagining the classic suit with bold ease. Isabeli Fontana appeared in a full crocodile-textured black look, with strong shoulders and a commanding presence. Meanwhile, Taylor Hill wore an oversized mustard wool jumper with soft volumes and a laid-back attitude.

On the runway, Olivier Rousteing revisited the sand dress worn by Tyla at the 2024 Met Gala, expanding his vision with rigid geode-inspired bustiers, shell- and bead-embellished gowns, flowing sarouel trousers, asymmetric knit tops and openwork fabrics that evoked fishing nets. The result was a collection light in spirit, stripped of ideological armour or corsetry: “This time it’s not about fighting, but about being free,” confessed the designer backstage.
In an industry defined by constant creative reshuffles, Rousteing stands firm as one of the longest-serving designers at the helm of a major maison. This show was a testament to his evolution: less hype, more permanence. Balmain continues to speak of strength – but through freedom.
