The new Pre-Fall 2026 proposal from Ferragamo reinforces Maximilian Davis’ modern sensibility through exquisite leather pieces, refined silhouettes and a nautical universe reimagined with contemporary precision.

The Ferragamo Pre-Fall 2026 collection confirms the creative maturity of Maximilian Davis, an artistic director capable of transforming classic codes into contemporary pieces of quiet sophistication. Not even a mundane setback — a false fire alarm — disrupted his composure; he continued presenting the collection with the same studied calm that permeates every garment. His answer, when asked what he would save first, was immediate: “leather” — a nod to the house’s artisanal core.

The line illustrates why Ferragamo remains a benchmark of modern luxury. Standouts include the reversible shearling coat, burgundy leather trenchcoats, the military-green suede safari jacket, and the lightly draped wool dresses, all finished with leather knots that serve as this season’s signature. They are joined by relaxed pleated trousers, low-rise pencil skirts and a series of fluid knitwear pieces that reinterpret everyday elegance from a fresher perspective.

The accessories universe — historically a pillar of the house — expands with new versions of its iconic models. The designer revisits the Hug bag, the Soft in grosgrain, and the Gancini east-west, now more elongated and refined. Oversized tote bags also appear, conceived to match contemporary rhythms without sacrificing polish.

Davis reintroduces elements from his latest runway, from 1920s-inspired silhouettes to a renewed nautical imagination drawn from the house archives. Sailor prints appear on scarf dresses, silk skirts and double-cashmere cabans, alongside leather belts with metal eyelets and ropes replacing traditional laces in tops and coats. Among the most innovative successes are the asymmetric stripes on ultra-light knitwear and the high-waisted sailor trousers crafted in cotton.

The collection reinforces one of the designer’s greatest strengths: transforming the everyday into something unexpected through minimal yet precise details. From the leather piping that elevates simple trousers to the Gancini finishes on navy knits, every gesture reveals an aesthetic evolution that cements Davis as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary luxury.
