The moment took place on 12 March, when the actress was invited onto the stage by Marsai Martin, star of ‘Black-ish’ and host of the ceremony. In a playful tone, Martin remarked that Zendaya usually keeps her personal life away from the spotlight, but still asked her to give “a sign” about the rumours circulating in recent weeks. Zendaya’s reaction was brief but meaningful: laughing shyly, she lifted her hand and showed what appeared to be her wedding band, prompting immediate applause from the audience.
The appearance of the ring came just days after Zendaya was photographed at the Louis Vuitton fashion show wearing a thin gold band on her left hand.
