Cheryl steps back into the spotlight with Nivea as TV comeback rumours grow and fans wonder whether new music could follow.

Cheryl is officially back in the spotlight. The British pop star has returned as the face of Nivea for a second consecutive year, fronting the brand’s latest campaign for its Cellular Epigenetics Age Rewind Eye Serum and bringing back one of her most recognisable trademarks in the process: that iconic wink.

In the new campaign, Cheryl appears radiant in a sleek blue dress, marking another carefully measured step back into public life after several years in which she largely prioritised family and television work over music.

Her return comes at a particularly interesting moment. Reports in the UK suggest Cheryl is also being lined up for a major television comeback, with talks reportedly underway for her to join ‘The Voice UK’ as a coach. If confirmed, it would mark one of her biggest TV roles in years and place her back in familiar territory after becoming one of Britain’s most popular talent-show personalities during her time on ‘The X Factor’.

A gradual return to public life

Cheryl stepped away from much of the spotlight after welcoming her son Bear in 2017, later making selective television appearances before returning to the stage with Girls Aloud in 2024. That reunion tour carried particular emotional weight following the death of bandmate Sarah Harding.

Her life changed again after the death of Liam Payne, Bear’s father, and Cheryl has remained especially private since then. That makes her renewed relationship with Nivea feel more significant than a standard beauty campaign.

A spokesperson for the brand said bringing Cheryl back for another year felt like “the natural evolution of our partnership”, describing her as the ideal fit for a campaign centred on transformation and innovation.

Could music be next?

For now, there is no confirmation that Cheryl is planning new solo music. But with a second major beauty campaign and a possible return to prime-time television, the question is difficult to avoid.

Cheryl has already proved she can step back into pop culture whenever she chooses. If ‘The Voice UK’ does become her next move, it could provide the perfect platform for something even bigger.

After years of keeping a relatively low profile, Cheryl seems ready to be seen again — and fans will inevitably be wondering whether television is only the beginning.
