JENNIE releases Fallen Angel, a new three-track EP accompanied by a dark, cinematic music video with a striking fantasy-inspired aesthetic.
JENNIE continues to expand her solo career with the release of Fallen Angel, a new three-track digital EP released through Odd Atelier in partnership with Columbia Records.
The project arrives alongside a music video for the EP’s title track, a dark, fantasy-inspired visual in which the BLACKPINK member appears surrounded by mist-covered landscapes, distorted architecture and an elaborate setting filled with striking visual effects.
The central concept revolves around the contrast between light and darkness, a duality that also extends to the sound of the project itself. Alongside the title track, the EP includes Heaven, a song the singer had already performed live during her headline appearance at the Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland, as well as Less Than a Lover, a track with a more summery feel.
The music video for the title track embraces a far more cinematic narrative than some of the artist’s recent releases. The production includes scenes featuring CGI-generated fire as well as sequences involving minors filmed under safety supervision, something the video itself clarifies with an on-screen notice.
Since establishing Odd Atelier, JENNIE has continued to build an increasingly distinctive artistic identity beyond BLACKPINK, developing projects that combine music, fashion and meticulously crafted visual direction.
With just three songs, Fallen Angel is a compact yet highly focused release, conceived more as an aesthetic statement than an extensive musical project. It offers another glimpse of how JENNIE continues to explore different sides of her solo career while maintaining creative control over her image.
