Tom Holland becomes the highest-grossing actor in history following the success of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and ‘The Odyssey’, overtaking Zoe Saldaña.
Tom Holland has added another record to his career. At the age of 30, the actor has reportedly become the highest-grossing star in worldwide box-office history, with the films in which he has appeared collectively reaching $15.5 billion.
His new position at the top comes at an exceptional moment for Holland, who currently has two of the year’s biggest films in cinemas at the same time: Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey.
Holland’s fourth adventure as Spider-Man continues to be a worldwide phenomenon. After adding another $27.4 million over the latest weekend, the film has now reached $2.452 billion, making it the third highest-grossing film of all time.
Its theatrical run could still deliver another record. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is reportedly just $18.9 million away from overtaking Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the highest-grossing film of all time at the US box office.

His success, however, does not depend solely on Marvel. The Odyssey, the other major production starring Holland currently in cinemas, has now grossed $1.68 billion worldwide, after adding another $34.4 million over the weekend.
These results have reportedly allowed the British actor to overtake Zoe Saldaña, who had claimed the top position at the beginning of 2026 following the success of Avatar: Fire and Ash, bringing her cumulative box-office total to $15.468 billion.
Close behind is Scarlett Johansson, with $15.401 billion, followed by Samuel L. Jackson, with $14.6 billion; Robert Downey Jr., with $14.3 billion; and Chris Pratt, with $14.1 billion.
The ranking also reveals an interesting detail: every actor currently occupying the leading positions has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, demonstrating just how profoundly the franchise has shaped the global box office over recent decades.
For Holland, however, the record comes at a particularly significant point in his career, as he begins to prove that his enormous commercial appeal can extend far beyond Spider-Man. With two billion-dollar films simultaneously playing in cinemas, 2026 is further establishing him as one of the most commercially successful stars of his generation in Hollywood.
